Cartesykj Weight Dummy for Suspension Tester Calibration
Product Overview
The Weight Dummy is a standard loading device specially designed for calibrating suspension performance testers. It is typically made of high-density metal blocks with precise weight and stable structure. This device simulates the actual vehicle weight distribution and provides a standardized vertical load when calibrating suspension testing systems (such as shock absorber testers or dynamic loading platforms).
Key Features of Cartesykj Weight Dummy:
High accuracy (typical error < ±1%)
Corrosion-resistant surface treatment
Modular configuration for different axle load simulations (e.g., 100kg, 200kg, 250kg blocks)
Equipped with handling grips and positioning grooves for safety and efficiency
How to Use
1. Preparation
Ensure the suspension tester is in its initial zero state and calibration mode is ready.
Clear the test area of debris to ensure smooth movement of the test platform.
2. Install the Weight Dummy
According to the simulated vehicle axle load configuration (e.g., 600kg front axle, 400kg rear axle), place the corresponding number of weight blocks evenly on the designated area of the test platform.
Make sure the dummies are symmetrically positioned to avoid offset loading.
3. Start the Test
Launch the suspension test program to simulate the vehicle's load response.
Record system readings such as vertical force, displacement response, or damping coefficient.
4. Compare and Calibrate
Compare the system output with the actual applied weight to determine if any deviation exists.
If deviation exceeds the allowed tolerance, adjust software scaling, sensor calibration parameters, or control settings.
Why Calibration Is Necessary
1. Ensure Data Accuracy and Reliability
Suspension performance testing is essential for evaluating vehicle comfort and safety. Uncalibrated systems may lead to incorrect judgments about suspension health and affect the final inspection results.
2. Comply with National or Industry Standards
Standards such as China’s GB/T 21291 require suspension testing equipment to have a verified calibration mechanism, with acceptable error margins (typically within ±2%).
3. Detect Sensor Drift, Non-linearity, and Response Lag
Loading with a weight dummy allows users to check whether the sensor output corresponds linearly with the actual load and helps verify the sensor’s stability and repeatability.
4. Prepare for Certification or Inspection Reports
During annual inspection, government audits, or customer acceptance, weight dummy calibration provides documented proof of the system’s accuracy, enhancing customer trust and product credibility.
